Improving physical health has regained its number one spot for resolutioners in 2024, after having traded places with mental health-related goals over the recent years. Consumers are doing more research than ever about what they eat. They are becoming increasingly aware that a nutrient-dense diet not only correlates to a longer life, but a better-quality one.
As people have become more health-conscious, plant-based foods have become more mainstream and accessible. Between 2017 and 2019, the plant-based foods market increased 29% in the U.S. and global retail sales of plant-based meat have more than doubled since 2018. This increase in demand has us seeing plant-based options in popular fast-food chains like Burger King, Chipotle, and Starbucks.
